Crown Regency Hotel
My sister bought two vouchers for an overnight stay in any Crown Regency Hotel branches around the country. She was supposed to have a Cebu vacation last year but she got pregnant so it wasn’t pushed through. Days before the voucher expire, she told me to use it so as not to waste it. I asked my mom and my brother if they want to avail the vouchers with me and they said “okay”. So I called Crown Regency to ask for dates with available rooms. The voucher was only valid until Dec 24 and the dates with vacant rooms are Dec 16 and Dec 24 only. So I confirmed our reservation for Dec 16 staycation. Come that day, my mother and brother no longer wanted to join me (tinamad lang). K My mom told me, “sayang yun, kayo na lang dalawa ni Boyps”. It was such a busy day because I attended my nephew’s Christening then after that, headed to Fort to attend my friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday.

So after the children’s party, I asked Boyps to pack some clothes so we can go the hotel. I even invited my friend Je, since the room I reserved was good for four. But she declined my invitation despite the fact that it’s FREE. :p Anyways, Boyps and I went to the hotel for a very short and quick staycation.

We rode a cab going to the hotel but unfortunately, the address I got from Google was incorrect. It was stated that it was located in the The Columns. I asked the driver to bring us to Crown Regency but he doesn’t know where it is so I gave the address. He dropped us at The Columns and after asking the lobby guard, he told us that there’s no hotel in the building. We asked several people along the streets, security guards of other buildings and even Jeepney drivers where the hotel is located but no one knows where it is. K Some even pointed us to the wrong direction. I told Boyps that based on google maps, it is near Dusit Hotel, and so we just walk straight until we reached the hotel.
Now I know why the hotel was unnoticeable – there’s no signage at all, the name of the hotel has no lights and the building was just small. I whispered to Boyps “eto na ba yun? May tao kaya dyan?
We arrived past 8 in the evening. The lobby lights were so dimmed and it just made me feel that the place was so creepy. The receptionist immediately gave me a form to fill up, request for the voucher and finally handed me the card key.
Upon entering the room, I really didn’t find it cool and extravagant. I don’t know if I’m just expecting too much because it’s a “Makati hotel”. The room was too big for the two of us and I liked it. The room may look old but the bed sheets and pillows were soft. Our room has two queen-sized beds,
cable TV, sofa, office chair and table,
bathroom with hot and cold shower and bath tub.  I would want to use the bath tub but I think it was not functioning well. Boyps and I were not able to find out how to close the drainage. We were trying to pull something but the drainage was still open. Hehe. But I loved the shower. :p I guess they just needed to fix the glass door because the water was still spilling out that makes the floor wet.
Basic toiletries were also provided inside the bathroom.

There’s also a small kitchen with microwave oven, cups and saucers and drinking glasses. I didn’t noticed if we have refrigerator. Hihi
Our stay included a buffet breakfast for two. Food was just so - so, variety of food was quite few.
It was just so sad that the hotel has no swimming pool. L It was such a short stay but I still enjoyed it. Chatting with Boyps, watching TV and just simply lying on a queen-sized bed all by myself made my stay worthwhile.

Outback Steakhouse

FTFBadge My friend and I bought an Outback voucher at Deal Grocer for only 380+ for a 600+ worth of food purchase. We are supposed to use it on a same day but unfortunately, I had a problem downloading the voucher because the site was down (I was trying to download it on the day we are supposed to use it). I was really sad that day but it just so happen too that my Red Mango voucher will expire the next day so Boyps and I just used my Red Mango voucher instead of Outback.
Days before the voucher expires, Boyps and I went to Glorietta 4 to finally avail it. It was actually one of the best "date night" of me and Boyps. Hihi. Bihira kasi kaming mag date ng gabi at sa sosyal pa:p
The place was not jam-packed with guests. The lights are dimmed, the sounds so low. It was such a perfect setting for a dinner date.
We were immediately assisted by a waitress after we're seated. She was really nice and very accommodating. She always checks us if we need something, if the food was okay and if we were comfortable. That experience was a first.
Here’s what we got that night:
Complimentary bread – I super liked it. It was soft and moist inside and crunchy on the outside. It actually tasted good even without the cream cheese. But it would taste much much better with it.
Potato soup  – another good dish that would surely sooth your throat and tummy. It was thick and creamy, perfectly salted potato soup. We just added a certain amount to avail this.
Chicken and Rib combo (Php 999)– it's a combination of chicken fillet and ribs with mashed potato side. The mashed potato was tasty even without gravy. The chicken was tender and it has a strong smoky flavor. (chura pa lang panalo na). The ribs, ooohhh so yummy! The meat was soft. The sauce so sweet and salty. The barbeque sauce just goes perfectly with it. Grabe super sarap talaga.
Typhoon Burger (Php 429) – this was another hit! Boyps wanted some burger because the pictures in the menu were really tempting. And so we got one. ¼ pound patty sandwiched with buns and cheesses and veggies and onion rings. What I like about this dish is that, the onion rings are breaded then fried. It also has fries on the side. Carbo carbo carbo! Pero super sarap! Winner!
I know I sounded so exaggerated in this post. It's just that I super duper mega to the max enjoyed this dining experience that I wanted to go back the next day after this happened. Hahaha. I even wanted to avail their card with freebies. Haha.
We spent Php1000+ more (excluding the voucher) but it was definitely worth it. Imagine Boyps giving a P50 tip? That was another first. It just showed that he liked it as much as I did. Boyps, friend, balik tayo :p

FTFBadge I've been busy lately with work and have been going home late (this is an uber late post - I'm currently unemployed :p). It's past 8 in evening and Boyps and I are already hungry. We don't want to go farther just to have a quick dinner so Boyps told me to just try the new burger store in Robinsons Summit Center - Bodato
Bodato serves a variety of hamburgers. We ordered Chicken Burger and Spicy Beef Burger. Looking while our order is prepared, parang casualan lang tapos ang mahal mahal. But when I got to taste it, I liked it. The patty is not dry but not too oily. It also has dressing, lettuce and tomatoes. There's really nothing special about it but it was still a good try. It's a bit pricey with how it looks on the pictures, but at least, it passed our taste.

Army Navy – The Repeat
Our first experience was at Army Navy Taft. The 2nd was a delivery and our 3rd was at Dela Rosa Makati. So far, we’ve only enjoyed the 1st and 3rd because we both had burritos during these visits. We had burger on our 2nd  but we didn't enjoyed it as much as we did with their Burritos.
Army Navy’s Burrito is bigger as compared to Mexican Express’. Only 1 size is available but with more variations. Customers can select from Chicken, Vegetable, Pork and Steak. They serve their burrito with salsa and a slice of lemon.
One Friday night, here's what we had for dinner:

Chicken Burrito – (Php 145) – has Spanish rice, chicken strips, onions, lettuce and cilantro wrapped in a tortilla. You can squeeze some lemon and put in some sauce (a bit spicy) to add more flavor to your burrito.  I’m just not sure what their sauce is but it tastes like the one used for Shawarma. Their Salsa is the best. It’s sweet, sour and spicy. Since it’s very loaded, it’s quite messy to eat. I got so full without finishing my Burrito but Boyps still feels hungry. :p
Tortilla - (Php 35) + Cheese Dip (Php 20) – The tortilla is plain so cheese is a must to add flavor to it. But you can use salsa if you want to. Boyps didn’t like this as much as I did. But I saw him picking on it while I’m still enjoying my Burrito. :p
Ice Tea - (Php 55) - my favorite Iced Tea. Haha. According to their poster, it's made up of freshly brewed tea. But I think the one we had has really strong flavor of tea - not exactly the same as what we had in Army Navy Taft. This sometimes makes me think that different branches have different taste of food and drink.

I would always want to go back to Army Navy if I'm craving for a Burrito. But I'm still hoping that we would be able to find a branch where we can eat a delicious burger. I've been reading and hearing good reviews about Army Navy's burger so I'm still not giving up. :p

Boyps and I are always (or most of the time) having a hard time waiting for a bus ride going to Buendia. FTFBadgeWe usually leave the office around 6-630 in the evening just in time for a late merienda or early
dinner. One time, there are lots of commuters waiting for a bus but few buses came. So instead of waiting for minutes, we have just decided to try another restaurant in the Ayala Triangle. My friend said that we should try CBD because they really serve delicious burgers. Here’s what we ordered.

Onion Rings Php 80 – the onion is sweet; the breading is crispy and not oily. It’s best eaten with ketchup and mayo.
CBD Cheeseburger (mine) Php 155 –. It’s tasty! It has cheese, tomatoes, and green veggie. It is also served with chips (can't remember if it's a potato, wanton wrapper or something else :|) With its taste and smell, I can really say that it was grilled (lasang inihaw talaga).
CBD Jalapeño Burger (Boyps) Php 170 – It’s yummy as well. Just like in Malcolm’s, we didn’t recognize the difference between the 2 burgers except that this has slices of jalapeño. It wasn't spicy though.
We didn’t find anything special with the burgers but we still liked it. J Both are oily and that’s totally the reason why it’s delicious. J After this, we went back to the loading station and thank goodness, we are able to ride without even running towards the bus :p

Krazy Garlik
I've been reading good reviews about this restaurant that’s why I told Boyps that we should try this out. With nothing much to say, here’s what we got:

Krazy Garlik Salad – Php245+ - This is so unique (for me)! It’s not a typical lettuce – egg – dressing – croutons salad. It has fried wanton, peanuts, green vegies, bell peppers and onions. The best J
Baba Ghanoush – Php227+ - flavored eggplant served with bread. I like the bread but not the eggplant K. It really has a strong taste that I don’t know how to describe it. To lessen its powerful flavor, I just used it as spread to my bread. It was indeed a very expensive eggplant dish! :p
Hara Kiri Rice – Php200+ - It’s a fried rice with shrimp, squid, bacon bits and chili. It’s moderately spicy! Yummy!

Rouge Seafood Coconut Curry – Php370+ - Mushroom, squid, shrimp and slices of eggplant and banana in curry sauce. The curry is just right – not too strong but still flavorful.
The food is pricey, the servings are few (and of course garlic overloaded :p), the taste was just okay. But I can say that we still enjoyed our dining experience here at Krazy garlik. Thanks to the lady who assisted us all throughout. She is very accommodating and fast in responding to our requests.
This is us. We’re addicted on trying food from different restaurants. J It may be expensive sometimes, but this is just a reward after a long stressful work week.
